Note: This is a Delco 8MT starter for Chevrolet Corvair. According to Lester, many reports of broken housings are received from the users. This is due to the fact That the unit is very hard to mount, and the upper ear does not get tightened completely. Once it loosens, the housing breaks. This is Not the fault of the starter.
